Dynamics Profile: MVP Denis Macchinetti motivated by passion for AX technology and its community

After eight years as a Microsoft Dynamics AX professional, Italy's Denis Macchinetti set a new goal for himself - become a Microsoft MVP. To reach that goal, Macchinetti knew it would take a combination of passion and hard work, with a focus on contributing to the AX community.

Macchinetti, who received the award in most recent quarter, is a developer and Dynamics AX consultant at Keyteam Ltd. in Vicenza Italy. A Microsoft Gold Partner, Keyteam's solutions, which are based on Dynamics AX, are developed for businesses in four industries: construction and infrastructure, discrete and job manufacturing, service, and distribution.

"My work is my passion," said Macchinetti. "I enjoy working and I like to share my knowledge. So I write in the Dynamics AX community. Microsoft doesn't give me any salary - I do this because it is my passion. In the last six or seven months I have been very active because my goal was to be a Microsoft MVP."

Another reason Macchinetti continues to be active in the Dynamics AX community is that he really likes the interaction and the camaraderie that exists.

"I like to meet the other guys to share my experience," he said. "I don't think there's anyone else in Italy who does this."
