Dynamics 365 Business Central partners examine Microsoft's new EP to CSP offer

Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner program for Dynamics 365 license sales added a new element recently with the introduction of an Enhancement Plan renewal offer. The deal gives current Dynamics GP, NAV, SL, and Business Central on-premises customers the opportunity to renew their annual enhancement plan (also known as AEP, AEM, EP, or BREP) via CSP by purchasing deeply discounted Business Central SaaS licenses with dual-use rights.

While the offer aligns with Microsoft’s existing goal of incentivizing the upgrade and migration of SMB ERP customers to the cloud, some partners are still working to understand the full impact of the offer on themselves, their customers, and on the CSP model.
