Best Practices for Healthy Memory Usage: The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Team Blog shares 5 techniques for debugging memory issues as well as best coding practices to help increase memory usage: "Are you trying to improve the memory usage of your .net application? I've spent some time recently trying to improve memory usage of our ..net code. .Net Framework does a great job of hiding the complexity of memory management from application developers. However, you will find that you need to get a deep understanding of how the .net garbage collector (GC) works in order to be able to understand and improve your application's memory usage."

Tips for Boosting Scribe DTS Performance: Joel Lindstrom of the CustomerEffective blog posted 3 helpful tips to help speed up DTS performance for migrations and integrations from Scribe Software: "Earlier this month I had the pleasure of participating in several sessions at Convergence 2009 in New Orleans... I was on a roundtable panel with Tim Thorpe and Leslie Guffey from YRC Logistics and Brendan Peterson from Scribe Software." Here's an abbreviated rundown of Lindstrom's tips:

1.  Multiple DTS...Brendan confirmed that it is supported to run multiple instances of the workbench simultaneously, and that if you have a powerful server with multiple processors/cores, this will be much faster than running each job individually.

2.  Picklist validation... this is a feature in the Microsoft CRM adapter that validates that picklist values are valid.  This also adds some overhead to the DTS.  If ...
