Cortex, eTelligent introduce Microsoft Dynamics GP connector for network-based invoice automation

e-Invoice service provider Cortex announced a partnership with Canadian Microsoft Dynamics partner Etelligent Solutions to integrate the Cortex Network with Dynamics GP.

The Cortex Connector allows for the automated export of invoice information to business partners on the Cortex Network, which is made up of 9,500 businesses.  The primary transactions on the network are procurement and invoice automation, including automated document delivery. The Cortex Connector allows users to transpose data directly from Dynamics GP into the Cortex Network and through to the customer of the supplier for approval, reducing the need for manual data entry.

The Cortex announcement is the third recent business network integration announcement for Dynamics ERP. Around Convergence 2013, Hubwoo and Microsoft announced a plan to integrate Dynamics AX and the Hubwoo Network for spend compliance and invoice automation . They moved forward on that partnership last week with the announcement of the inaugural implementation partners and a plan to certify their solution in June. In May, the Dell announced a planned integration through Boomi cloud integration platform and SAP's Ariba and Dynamics GP.

Ariba remains the leader in the business transaction network space with its $3.5 billion market cap and $4 billion purchase price by SAP in 2012. By comparison, Cortex has a market cap of just over $40 million (Canadian) and thousands of trading partners, while Hubwoo's market cap is close behind at approximately €25 million and they claim over one million trading partners.
