Configure One Releases Web-based Product Configurator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Configure One, a provider of web-based product configurator and electronic catalog software, has launched Concept Integration for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Configure One's ready-to-use integration to Microsoft Dynamics CRM acts as a Dynamics CRM configurator and eliminates re-keying of redundant data, keeping information up-to-date in both product solutions, according to the company.

Configure One said Concept Enterprise Product Configurator's integration with Dynamics CRM lets users generate professional quote documents with both configurable and standard line items. For configurable items, the system guides users through a series of questions that captures the requirements for the appropriate features and options. Concept then automatically translates the user's selections into the information they need to sell and fill the order.

"The integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Configure One's Concept empowers sales people to become self-sufficient," said David Ray, Configure One's enterprise architect, in a statement. "They can easily convert customer requests into quotes, sales drawings, and/or virtual product images without having to rely on an internal quotation or engineering department."

Key features of the solution include:

  • Pulls account and contact data from Dynamics CRM to populate proposals
  • Pushes quote information from Concept to Opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Creates a quote in Dynamics CRM based on Concept Quote metadata
  • Creates new products in Dynamics CRM for the configured part
  • Automatically attaches the new configured product to the Opportunity and Quote
