Columbus Receives Applause from Microsoft
Enterprise software integrator Columbus IT has been commended by Microsoft following the vendor's recent ‘Gulf Partner Meet' in the UAE. As well as being heralded for its performance as a Microsoft Dynamics partner in the EMEA region, the company saw one of its Middle East employees walk away with the top sales accolade.
Parry Singh, senior business development manager at Columbus IT Middle East, received the ‘sales person of the year' award from partner account manager Imad Diab for his efforts in winning new business during the past 12 months.
Singh's triumph was followed by the announcement of Columbus IT as a finalist in the category of ‘Gulf partner of the year' and runner-up in the ‘best deal of the year' nominations for its ongoing Axapta project with MMI, a division of the Emirates Group.
"The awards are a true testimony to the sustained hard work and dedication of the entire sales and implementation team in providing Microsoft Dynamics' solutions to customers in the region with the highest levels of satisfaction and unwavering commitment," enthused Manjeet Singh, managing director at the firm.
Despite failing to win the ‘best deal of the year' award, Singh insists that Columbus IT's selection as ‘prime vendor' on the MMI project, which spans deployments in the UAE and Oman, was still an "excellent achievement". He explained: "We worked closely with Microsoft to carefully address all the functional and technical requirements at the pre-sales stage. Despite being up against strong competition from Oracle and other vendors, we were chosen due to a solutions portfolio, experienced consulting strength and a structure implementation methodology."
