BIO Analytics Adds Tableau Data Visualization Option for Microsoft Dynamics Business Intelligence

As more Microsoft Dynamics customers take a close look at the value of business intelligence, the highly competitive market for BI solutions is evolving quickly with better stories of user accessibility and quick time to value. 

In one recent move, BIO Analytics Corp., developer of BIO Express and BIO for Microsoft Dynamics BI and analytics software, announced recently that it signed a reseller agreement with Tableau Software, a leading provider of data visualization software.

While BIO's BIOVue out-of-the-box viewer already met many needs for visualization of analytics, including interactive ad-hoc analysis and self-service capabilities, Tableau adds an option for high-end graphics and advanced analytics like geographic and geospacial visualizations and provides the ability to easily create personalized, interactive dashboards allowing the user to see multiple views on a single screen. These additional visualization capabilities complement BIOVue's functionality, says the company.

According to BIO Analytics, this relationship allows the company to tailor its product offerings to the needs of its individual customers. President, Dan Schwartz explains, "At BIO Analytics Corp., we realize that all business intelligence needs are not the same. We created our product offerings to be entirely flexible, allowing companies and other organizations to implement only the functionality they need. BIO embodies that flexibility in its visualization options as well."

Tableau, which is already integrated with BIO's reporting capabilities out of the box and available to customers, is in fact a separate offering from BIO, and the company says that BIO customers can mix and match viewers to the needs of their organizations.  A company may need hundreds of less expensive BIOVue viewers for ad hoc analysis by analysts, department heads, operations ...
