Agua Mineral San Benedetto’s Paper-to-Paperless Journey with Microsoft Dynamics AX

Valencia, Spain-based bottling company Agua Mineral San Benedetto faces fierce competition on quality and price among mineral water providers. As a Dynamics AX customer, they made the decision to optimize their operations by adopting document automation technology toeliminate paper and improve their ability to work dynamically and efficiently.

To achieve its goals, both in terms of business efficiency and eco-friendly practices, the company knew it must adopt simplified processes that use close to zero paper, says Juan Francisco Cerezo Carcelen, CIO, Agua Mineral San Benedetto.

Dynamics AX in a paperless environment

With all departments working together (e.g., accounting, sales, logistics and IT), the company was able tocreate a totally paperless environment in

just a few years, reducing its annual paper consumption from 120,000 to 40,000 pages, according to company officials. To help accomplish that goal, the company turned French-based Microsoft partner Esker, a provider of cloud-based document process automation software, for a solution that worked with Dynamics AX.

A goal of reducing physical consumption is nothing new to Agua Mineral San Benedetto,

and it is not just about the bottom line. The company has also received a prize for its eco-friendly packaging - extra light bottles with 50% less plastic.

Backed by implementation partner Tecnocom, Agua Mineral San Benedetto has run Dynamics AX since 2004. In February, Tecnocom deployed Dynamics AX 2012 R3 at the firm's headquarters in Valencia and its secondary headquarters as well as its warehouse headquarters, both in Granada, Spain.
