ADP Workforce NowADP and Microsoft have teamed up to integrate ADP's Workforce Now human capital management platform (HCM) solution with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV 2018. The "proprietary" integration is intended to improve efficiency, offer real-time visibility into HR and financial transactions, and encrypt data access between the two systems. The two vendors also see it as an opportunity to reduce manual processes that previously had to be carried out twice.

Currently, 160,000 organizations use Dynamics 365 Business Central and 60,000 use the ADP Workforce Now. The outbound integration of ADP Workforce Now includes features such as Employee Data Integration and General Ledger Data Integration. Integrating HR data allows organizations to quickly add information like an employee's name, title, address, phone number, and email to financial records. Changes to vital HCM data, such as new hires or terminations can be rapidly applied to Dynamics 365. For reporting, Workforce Now's General Ledger Interface system can export payroll journals after each pay cycle, and supports 20 different data dimensions.

"We are witnessing a fundamental shift in how businesses run and operate," said Marko Perisic, general manager for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, in a statement.  "We're observing that company data is being used, through modern artificial intelligence techniques, to generate insights that empower companies to do business like they never could before.  I see the future of this relationship as incredibly synergistic, as we combine our cloud technology expertise with our power to reason around employee and financial data," he added.

The integrated version of ADP Workforce Now, is now available on both the ADP Marketplace and
