Accelerating Deals with Electronic Signatures: DocuSign Releasing eSignature Connector for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

DocuSign, a vendor of electronic signature solutions, is releasing its new eSignature plug-and-play sales connector, to integrate DocuSign automated e-signatures with contracts managed in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The new sales connector will be generally available tomorrow.

The DocuSign Sales Connector for Microsoft Dynamics CRM will be available in the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace.  It adds a "Send with DocuSign" button in Dynamics CRM that allows the user to indicate where initials and signatures are needed on an agreement.  The e-signature is then captured by DocuSign's cloud-based solution and stored back to Dynamics CRM in the notes of an opportunity.

DocuSign will join other e-signature offerings for Dynamics CRM from vendors like AssureSign and Xignature (who seem to be having some web site and/or product release issues at the moment) who already have solutions in the marketplace.

DocuSign accounts comes in four flavors ranging from a free individual plan for sending up to five documents per month up to an Enterprise level with customized and integrated electronic signatures with advanced management and security.  Presumably one of these paid accounts will also be required to make that "Send with DocuSign" button work.

DocuSign already offers a range of other integration capabilities ranging from OpenID authentication to integration in other enterprise solutions like Salesforce.com, Box.net, and mobile platforms.  They also claim to be integrated into 50,000 Windows applications.  The solution includes not just signature capture, but document conversion, signer authentication, electronic forms, collaboration, and routing to multiple signers. 

As for legal compliance, the company points to the Federal ESIGN Act of 2000 ...
