How to create agent skills in Copilot Studio
Writing on his blog, Matthew Devaney stated that in Copilot Studio, you can use agent skills to add capabilities that are not available through Power Platform connectors.
He noted that these skills can use any of the more than 50 Python packages included in the new agent runtime. This allows agents to perform tasks such as editing Word and Excel files, creating data visualizations, and much more.
Devaney added that agent skills can also give your agents reusable knowledge for a specific subject or area, similar to the skills available in GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
Devaney then explained how to create agent skills in Copilot Studio.
