How to view audit storage by entity in Dynamics 365 using the GetAuditStorageDetails action

On the Inogic blog, Sam Kumar wrote that auditing in Dynamics 365 CE keeps a record of changes in your CRM. Whenever someone creates, updates, or deletes a record, the system saves that information in audit logs.

Kumar noted that this is helpful for tracking changes and solving issues, but there’s a drawback: the system doesn’t clearly show how much storage these audit logs are using for each entity or area. Without that visibility, admins and developers can’t easily control storage. Over time, audit logs can grow very large, which can lead to unexpected storage limits.

To solve this, Microsoft added a feature in Dataverse called GetAuditStorageDetails.

He explained what information this action provides and how to call it in a C# app.

Writing on her blog, Megan Walker asked if you knew that Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights uses a suppression list for all the Journeys that send emails in your environment, and that this list is specific to your organization.
