Handling label files in a D365FSC UDE instance
Writing on his blog, Alex Meyer stated that following up on some earlier posts about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management UDE development instances, he wanted to share a recent issue he encountered with label files and how he went about resolving it.
Meyer wrote that he was working on installing the D365 F&O admin toolkit into his UDE instance. After setting up the project properly, building it successfully, syncing the database, and publishing the solution, Meyer stated that he noticed a problem: the label files did not seem to be deploying as expected.
Meyer noted that he first assumed he had simply forgotten to build the label files. However, after reviewing the model build, he confirmed through the CompileLabels.xml log file that the build process was indeed attempting to compile the labels, but none were actually being found. He wrote that what made this even more puzzling was that Visual Studio was able to locate the label files without any issue, and they appeared correctly in the Application Explorer.
In his blog post, Meyer described the troubleshooting steps he took to determine the issue as well as possible fixes.
Time & expense entry with AI agents
Writing on his blog, Sandeep Chaudhury took a closer look at the new time entry and expense entry AI agents, now available in a production-ready preview in Dynamics 365 Project Operations and D365 F&O.
He pointed out that these agents automate the process from capture to submission, reducing manual effort and errors.
Chaudhury then discussed the benefits of first-party agents for time and expense entry, and he also explained how to deploy the time entry agent and the expense entry agent work.
Using D365 F&SCM’s demand forecasting for automotive supply chains
On the Logan Consulting blog, Maya Ikenberry wrote that automotive manufacturers face pressure from shifting demand, supply shortages, and the move to electric vehicles.
She noted that, as such, accurate forecasting and inventory management are essential, and D365 F&SCM delivers tools that help reduce stockouts and align production with market needs.
Ikenberry explained how demand forecasting in D365 F&SCM works and how it benefits auto manufacturers in areas like cost, improving efficiency, and ensuring on-time vehicle delivery.
Understanding telemetry pricing
On the Dynamics 365 ERP Applications in Digital Transformation, the author explained what enabling telemetry streaming in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations can do for an organization. With data streaming to Azure Application insights, administrators, developers, and auditors to analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and even measure user adoption.
In the blog post, they explore capabilities like tracking metrics, coding exceptions, and form runs. They also explain the pricing and how different monitoring features will impact costs.
