Boost reusability and performance in Power Apps controls framework with dependent libraries
On the Inogic blog, Sam Kumar looked at how using dependent libraries can make Power Apps PCF controls easier to maintain, reuse, and run faster. He also shared real examples to show how this approach cuts down the size of your code bundle and makes development smoother.
To explain it better, Kumar walked readers through a recent situation the Inogic team faced and how dependent libraries helped the team improve its workflow.
Kumar stated that recently the team had to build two different PCF controls—one to show a sales summary and another to display a forecast chart. He explained that even though the controls were different, they both needed the same utility functions and used the same third-party tools, such as input checkers and rich text editors.
He explained how they used dependent libraries in Power Apps to help solve these problems and improved how they build and manage PCF controls.
