Copilot & AI capabilities in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

On his blog, Saurabh Bharti wrote that Copilot gives users access to AI capabilities that augment the application experiences and functionality of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

Bharti noted that Copilot brings additional skills to help users complete various tasks and offered some examples of how it can be used for different user experiences. He also explained that to enable Copilot capabilities in D365FO, you must have the following prerequisites in place:

  • You must be running version 10.0.36 or later of D365FO.
  • You must have enabled the Power Platform integration in Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services. (However, you don’t have to enable dual-write for this feature.)

In his blog post, Bharti Key discussed the key feature released with D365FO: the user experience for Copilot, which is in preview. He then explained exactly what this feature does, which is to enable users to interact with in-app AI-powered assistance provided by Copilot across many scenarios in D365FO.

He also offered information on other Copilot and AI features in D365FO.

D365 environment cleaner feature

Writing on his blog, Kurt Hatlevik stated that Microsoft has released a new feature in preview to help make the D365FO environment cleaner, more efficient, and compliant.

Hatlevik wrote about the major upgrade to the storage capacity experience in the Power Platform admin center for D365FO. He noted that this new feature enables users to do a deep dive into the storage consumption for each table within the D365FO environment.

He pointed out that now admins can see the total storage that's being used as well as understand which tables are the heaviest – a level of detail that has only been available for Dataverse tables.

In his blog post, Hatlevik explained why this new feature is important and how users can get the most out of this feature.
