Aisera launches generative AI capabilities with Azure OpenAI Service

Aisera, a Microsoft partner specializing in AI capabilities, announced an expansion of its partnership with Microsoft. The company is integrating Azure OpenAI Service generative AI capabilities into its AI Service Experience Platform, or AISX.

Aisera launched five years ago, with a focus on AI for customer care. In its initial go-to market, the company has focused on industry verticals like insurance, providing chatbot-style answers with models that answer based on a company’s internal information. Most recently, it has expanded its capabilities to targeted answers for resolving internal IT problems, like fixing a VPN connection or resolving network issues with an AI workflow.

According to with Dr. Muddu Sudhakar, CEO of Aisera, the team’s approach to large language models (LLMs) differs from that of Open AI’s ChatGPT because Aisera’s LLM capabilities are domain specific, trained on an organization’s internal data.

“They complement each other and sit on top of each other," he explained. "We are domain specific, using your content, versus OpenAI which mines open source data from the web. We mine your internal data, that’s the value we bring. We are domain, vertical, and customer specific."

Aisera offers customers over 1,000 different pre-existing integrations to data sources like GSuite, SharePoint, Dropbox. Integrations are done via customized webhooks, callback APIs, and other prebuilt connections.
