Dynamics 365 Business Central: analyze, group, and pivot data on list pages using multiple tabs
Writing on his blog, Stefano Demiliani stated the Dynamics 365 Business Central 2023 Wave 1 (v22) release introduced a new analyze view mode in list pages directly on browser. He noted that this feature lets users and data analysts analyze data from list pages directly in the client without having to open the page in Excel or run a report.
Demiliani explained that analysis mode is a new way of interacting with data on list pages. So rather than run reports using different options and filters, you can simply add multiple tabs that represent different tasks or views on the data. Then when you’re ready to analyze data on a list page (where you might have filtered data using a view or filter pane), you just have to switch to analysis mode.
He then offered details on how this works in D365BC, adding that since the new analysis view feature is in public preview, your administrator has to turn it on before you can use it.
