Microsoft buys Clear Software to bolster SAP and Oracle integration to Power Platform

Microsoft announced the acquisition of Clear Software, and integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) vendor. They noted the firm's strong Oracle and SAP integration capabilities and the opportunity to use that technology with Microsoft's Power Platform toolset for building custom application and automation scenarios for data and processes.

"Clear Software’s API access and system knowledge will strengthen Microsoft Power Platform’s integration with outside systems and accelerate how customers leverage data and processes that reside beyond Microsoft first-party services," wrote Power Automate partner general manager Stephen Siciliano in an announcement today.

Clear Software's tools will make integration from Power Apps and Power Automate to Oracle and SAP "a more seamless experience," he wrote. The company offers other integrations, including to Salesforce. Their solution includes more than 100 pre-built abstractions over Oracle and SAP solutions, Siciliano added.

Clear Software was founded in 2012 by ERP consultants at Deloitte and Accenture.
