Using AutoComplete functionality with Dynamics GP

Writing on the Dynamics GP Support and Services Blog, Derek Albaugh took a look at the details of AutoComplete functionality available with Dynamics GP and whether or not it might be right for you in day-to-day work in GP. He explained the basic functionality of AutoComplete and provided an example and screenshots. He also noted where the AutoComplete field information is stored.

Albaugh explained the issues you might run into because AutoComplete is held in a user's profile folders and provided recommendations to avoid these issues.

Reconcile outstanding documents

Also on the Dynamics GP Support and Services Blog, Brandon Jarrett wrote that he wanted to share one of the reconcile options in the receivables module that most users typically overlook. This feature is called reconcile outstanding document amounts.

This feature of the reconcile process is great because it will look at a specific customer or document and adjust the amount remaining field if it is incorrect based on any or no apply records.

Jarrett stated that since the support team received an average number of these cases, he decided to write a blog post about it to help you if you're not able to apply one of your documents and you receive a message stating that the document is fully applied.

He then noted the two common scenarios, where the support team recommended using the reconcile outstanding documents process.

Purchase order entry windows show costs as zero

On David Musgrave's Winthrop Development Consultants Blog, Musgrave stated that recently customers and partners have been asking him about a particular issue that they couldn't quite figure out.
