Updating the Terraform provider version
A contributor to the Learn IT and DevOps blog explored how to update the Azure Terraform provider version. Each module, including the main module in Terraform needs to declare which provider it uses in order for a configuration to work. The author shared a sample configuration using the Azure provider for version 2.40.0. The terraform.exe providers can also pull the same results.
The author wrote:
To update the Azure provider version, I will first check the latest provider version from the Terraform provider page…To update, I will edit the provider version and run terraform init.
