Azure Updates: Container Registry; Key Vault; Stream Analytics; Data storage; IoT Central for smart cities; FedRAMP Blueprints

The Azure team returned to their regular release cadence after the Microsoft Ignite sprint, but a brisk pace of announcements and updates continues.

Senior program manager Reshmi Mangalore reported that the Container Registry team is previewing repository scoped role-based access control permissions, based on feedback in UserVoice, along with diagnostic logs. To date, Container Registry offered some RBAC scenarios, but lacked good support for multi-team situations. Mangalore noted some potential scenarios such as restricting repo access to specific users, controlling IoT device access or extending access to third-party organization. Tokens will help to control RBAC permissions.
