Next release of Microsoft Dynamics GP due in October, includes feature updates and a new lifecycle policy

Microsoft has revealed that the next version of Dynamics GP at a recent event, and attendees report that it is due for release on October 1. The new version, referred to as "GP Next" will include nearly forty new features and system enhancements. The product will also adopt the Modern Lifecycle Policy , the same one used by Office 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365.

The news trickled out last week from Fargo where Microsoft hosted the GP Tech Conference on its campus.

Beyond the live presentation, Microsoft does not appear to have issued any other public statements about the release, noting only that there will be a "feature of the day" blog post series examining individual features in the list of more than 40 planned.
