Using Forms, Flow, and Business Central integration to create your vendors
A few months ago, I was gathering client requirements for a Dynamics 365 Business Central project, when I realized that the client was asking for a portal where the vendors and customers can fill in their basic data to save time when preparing the master. The easiest way to do this is by using Microsoft Forms. Let's take a look at how we can use Forms, Flow and Business Central integrated together to achieve this goal.
Pre- requisites
- Microsoft Flow
- Microsoft Office Forms
- Dynamics 365 Business Central
Solution
The solution I found was creating a Form and using Flow to integrate the data from the Form into Business Central. Flow directly integrates with standard Business Central entities. All you need to do is select a Business Central template in Flow and rearrange it, as shown in the screenshot below:
1. Create a Form with the fields that you want to set for the Vendors.
2. Setup Flow to take each record inserted in Forms and add it to Business Central
Output
Once set, Flow runs automatically and loads the form data into Business Central.
