Syed Ali was a Microsoft Dynamics developer at Intergen, a New Zealand-based Microsoft partner. In a statement on LinkedIn, Intergen CEO Simon Bright wrote:

A fundraising campaign has been started on behalf of Syed's family by Intergen.
