Azure Review: Microsoft 365 security; SA data centers; Azure chip maker; Data migration; Running VMs

Microsoft started the new year by announcing that on February 1st, it will make available new Microsoft 365 security and compliance offerings. According to Ron Markezich, the company's Identity and Threat Management offering will bring together Azure Advanced Threat Protection, Windows Defender ATP, Office 365 ATP, Cloud App Security and Active Directory for $12 per user per month. Additionally, the package will combine Office 365 Advanced Compliance with Azure Information Protection.

Attunity, a data center migration provider inked a $1.4 million license with an unnamed gas and electric provider in Europe to migrate SAP, SQL Server and other data sources from an on-premises data center to a large Azure data lake. Universal Electronics is collaborating with Microsoft on a new digital assistant platform. Its Nevo.ai digital assistant is a white label product built on Azure, relying on Azure IoT, Bot Service and Cognitive Services. Advantys announced that its WorkflowGen, a no-code process automation system integrated with GraphQL API and webhooks, is available in the Azure Marketplace.
