Microsoft Dynamics Profile: A career evolution from Student Partner to NAV & Business Central MVP

For Renato Fajdiga, receiving his first MVP award was like winning a lottery worth millions.

"I still remember it as if it was yesterday," says Fajdiga, who hails from Croatia. "It was sometime after five p.m. on October 1 and at that moment I was as happy as if I had the winning lottery ticket worth millions of dollars. For me to be an MVP is an honor and at the same time I have a responsibility to become better and better at my job."

For nearly five years, his job has been helping customers as an application consultant for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central at Adacta Group in Zagreb. In addition, Fajdiga helps customers implement D365BC or upgrade NAV to newer versions.

"I do a fit [or] gap analysis, propose new processes, write specifications, and test functionality," he says. "As a member of the supply chain management consultant team in Adacta Group, my specialties are functional areas that are part of the SCM module, such as sales and marketing, purchase, inventory, warehouse, and service. Often, I take part in data migration from old systems to Dynamics NAV."

Learning about NAV

Fajdiga first started working with Dynamics NAV in November 2011 when he was a student at the Young Innovative Career Trackers program – a four-month program held by ESKA in Microsoft's Innovation Center Varaždin.

"We worked with Dynamics NAV 2009 RTC version and mostly learned the features of the ERP processes in Dynamics NAV 2009," he says. "After four months learning about Dynamics NAV 2009, there was also ...
