New Azure Services for UK
Microsoft on its Azure blog has announced a spate of services now available in the United Kingdom.
Chief among them are Logic Apps, Microsoft's integration Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) offering that aims to tie together SaaS and on-premise enterprise applications using an organization's own rules and business logic.
This cross-the-pond migration seems a bit poky; Microsoft announced general availability of Azure Logic Apps in the US in July 2016.
Logic Apps provides a visual designer to model and automate processs as workflows. As Microsoft's Principal Program Manager, Global Ecosystem Andres Juarez describes, Logic Apps is a fully managed iPaaS (integration Platform as a Service), which "[allows] developers not to have to worry about building, hosting, scalability, availability and management. Logic Apps scale up automatically to meet demand."
Next of broadest interest to UK Dynamics users is Azure Stream Analytics, Microsoft's fully-managed real-time event processing engine for deep insights from data. Here too, the UK has waited; this service went into general availability in June 2015.
Says Juarez, "Stream Analytics makes it easy to set up real-time analytic computations on data streaming from devices, sensors, web sites, social media, applications, infrastructure systems, and more."
