Summit EMEA 2017: Dynamics AX for Retail, and the road ahead with Dynamics 365

Waldemar ProssMens fashion retailer Charles Tyrwhitt, "The Home of Proper Shirts," has shops in the UK, France, and the US. Like all retail done well, a smooth and well-run store front owes much to product and design talent, of course; but also to a powerful back-end system.

Waldemar Pross is a 10+-years Dynamics AX professional, currently working behind the scenes at Charles Tyrwhitt to review the suitability of Dynamics AX 2012 R3 for Retail. In his role as technical consultant and lead developer he looks after majority of technical aspects of the Dynamics AX implementation and coordinates with in-house developers, the company's Dynamics partner, and other third-party IT suppliers.

At AXUG Summit EMEA 2017, Pross will present the intermediate-level member showcase session "High Level Architecture, Different Topologies and Lessons Learned." He promises an overview of different deployment options and components for Dynamics AX 2012 R3 Retail, including the classical Enterprise POS and Modern POS (MPOS). He will cover the fundamental concepts and terminology required to understand the architectures and topologies of AX 2012 R3.

He is also a member of the Summit EMEA content planning committee, and took time to tell us more about Summit EMEA and his session.

Who would attend your session-a company that has yet to use AX for Retail, or one that does already and is interested in best practices?

I think it will be both; a bit more for people who are thinking about using Dynamics AX for Retail or already decided to use AX for Retail and they want to better understand its architecture; but ...
