Building a Microsoft Dynamics practice from Ukraine: Innoware celebrates 15 years in business
Ukraine-based IT consulting firm and longtime Microsoft Dynamics reseller Innoware recently celebrated its fifteen year anniversary in business. Since its founding in 2001, the company has navigated massive changes to the national and global economy that have tested their own business and their relationship with key partners like Microsoft. As an early entrant into the modern enterprise software space in Ukraine, other countries in the former Soviet Union, and Europe, the company has been at the forefront of adapting and selling Microsoft's ERP, CRM, and productivity offerings for a market that offered plenty of opportunity but required specialized capabilities like localized interfaces and tools to meet a unique set of regulatory standards.
To learn more about the company's history, accomplishments, and plans for the future, we spoke with company founder Dmytro Popinako, who started Innoware in 2001, just as he was ending another phase of his career when the first "dotcom" era ended.
MSDynamicsWorld: Innoware has just celebrated 15 years in business. Can you tell us about the origins of the company?
Dmytro Popinako: "I always wanted to run a business and the first company I founded with my friends was back in 1992, right after Ukraine freed up from the Soviet empire. But we were too young to develop the business at that time.
