Goodbye Convergence, Hello Envision: Microsoft Updates Its Event Schedule with Destination for Business Leaders

Microsoft Envision 

Microsoft has introduced Envision, a new conference that is "designed for CxOs and their senior department and functional leaders" and replaces Convergence US on Microsoft's event calendar, taking its April 4 to 6 slot in New Orleans later this year.

Wayne Morris, VP of marketing for Microsoft Dynamics, describes the new event as a "natural evolution" away from Convergence. The event will be geared toward leaders but will still include "functional and industry-specific content" according to the event site.

Technical content related to Dynamics that may have been part of Convergence in years past (and had been decreasing in recent years) might now be found at Microsoft Ignite in September, though no details are available yet. Developers can still find a home at the Build conference, March 30 to April 1. And Worldwide Partner Conference remains in place in July.

Microsoft once again called out the UG Summit events, a non-Microsoft conference, as the event "for those that want to connect with other users of Dynamics products".
