New Microsoft Dynamics GP Exams: Watching the Sausage Being Made
They say you should never watch sausage being made because after seeing the process, you won't want to eat it. That wasn't the case for me, I would come home from school and watch my grandfather hand crank and press homemade sausage meat through his old machine while my Sicilian grandmother tied off the casings. You definitely wanted some after that. Those weren't sausages, they were little meat-flavored packets of love.
I just spent a full weekend with a great group of GP folks working on a different kind of sausage: new GP certification exams set to debut at reIMAGINE 2015 in September. Like my grandmother's sausage, a lot of hard work and love went into the process. I thought you might like a glimpse.
The Association of Dynamics Professionals (DynamcisPros) is working hard to make sure that these exams are done right. We had a professional facilitator to help us write clear, useful questions and ensure that they are timely and relevant.
The group started with the questions from previous GP exams. In the end, we changed every question. Each one was rewritten or discarded based on continuing relevance and usefulness. We had a really good group and we still didn't get through all the questions on the Install and the Financials exams.
