Microsoft's 2015 ERP Partner of the Year Trusts in Vertical Focus, Repeatability

mcaConnect LLC has made its mark since 2002 when it first signed on as a Microsoft partner. Two weeks ago the company continued its run as a player of note in the Microsoft Dynamics space when it was named the 2015 Microsoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Partner of the Year Award and was named a finalist for the CRM Partner of the Year award.

Claude WatsonmcaConnect specializes in the oil and gas and manufacturing industries, and that focus is a key element of its success, says CEO Claude Watson. Within the Dynamics space it focuses upon Dynamics AX and CRM. It further has a clear vision of where it wants to take its customers, chiefly in its core industries. We asked Watson to tell us what was behind mcaConnect's success and what he feels will breed even more success in the partner channel.

MSDW: ERP Partner of the Year is not your first award, correct?

This is not our first award, we were Industry Partner of the Year two years ago.

I've been asked to speak at a variety of partner events and I've shared our message, which is to be really good at one or two things, not average at lots of things. That's what I suggest to partners - find and advance verticals.

Have any key successes elevated mcaConnect for awards like these?

Claude Watson: We've been US Reseller of the Year three of the last four years and have been a finalist ...
