Microsoft Names 2015 Partner Award Winners and Finalists

With July's Worldwide Partner Conference 2015 approaching, Microsoft has once again revealed its annual partner award winners. This year's winners came from 43 categories that "celebrate each of the core partner competencies, including cloud technology, public sector, citizenship, sales excellence and many more," according to the announcement. The winners and three finalists per category were chosen from more than 2,300 entries.

Of note among the named winners and finalists, "Accenture/Avanade" took home two wins and two other finalist nods. Hitachi Solutions was a finalist in three categories. And mcaConnect was both the ERP winner and a CRM finalist.

A complete list of the overall categories, including country awards, can be found here. Below, we list the Dynamics-related award winners and finalists. If you look back at the 2014 and 2013 partner awards, you'll see a lot of the same companies slotting into the same categories, though often with a shift in winners.

One subtle but interesting change in this year's awards - the previous "Microsoft Dynamics Cloud" award has been replaced by "Cloud CRM". But there doesn't seem to be a similar award (at least not yet) to recognize cloud ERP, which would seem to shut out some of the up and coming SMB ERP players who have been building their businesses around rapidly deployed cloud-based solutions featuring Dynamics GP and NAV, often alongside Office 365, and Dynamics CRM.
