Scribe Software names Shawn McGowan as new CEO
Data integration company Scribe Software today announced the appointment of 20-year software-industry veteran Shawn McGowan as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The company, a long-time Microsoft Dynamics ISV partner, will continue to focus on growth and scaling out. The company has a history of measuring elements of its quarterly performance in announcements like the ones from earlier this year in July, April, and January.
"Scribe is at the forefront of a tremendous market opportunity, and I plan to rapidly scale the company to meet increasing demand for a complete, modern integration platform," noted McGowan in a statement. "Joining at a critical juncture, I am excited to have the opportunity to apply my integration knowledge to further drive the evolution of the award-winning Scribe Online platform in the emerging iPaaS space and build on our deep roots in enterprise, on-premise integration."
McGowan has been a strategic adviser to Scribe for several years, according to outgoing CEO Lou Guercia in a statement. McGowan comes to Scribe from his former position as the COO of hospitality sales and service software company Newmarket International, Inc., which was recently acquired by Amadeus for $500M. Prior to joining Newmarket, he served as an internet architect for ManagedOps.com where he built the infrastructure for their Internet-facing products and managed a variety of applications for e-business, portal and CRM. Earlier in his career, McGowan held senior technology positions at Elderhostel, Inc. and The Taylor Group.
