Microsoft ambitious on plan to boost productivity, mobility with Dynamics CRM 2015 and beyond

The next year in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is all about productivity and mobility, and CRM Online will play a huge part in that.

Microsoft Program Manager Venkatesan Sathyamurthy previewed the future of Dynamics CRM this week at eXtremeCRM 2014, explaining how improvements in the product will increase productivity and allow for a broader reach to the platforms on which people work. Key to these efforts are Office 365; Azure, and, of course, Dynamics Marketing.

"These are the three big pillars," Sathyamurthy told the hundreds in attendance at eXtremeCRM in Las Vegas on Wednesday. "You are going to see some really, really interesting things coming in CRM."

Sathyamurthy called mobility a highlight of the upcoming Dynamics CRM 2015 release.

"The mobility journey started in 2013, and we started taking significant steps," he said of the progress made in CRM 2015."We added 29 additional languages," and access to a growing set of dashboards."

"Mobility is not just building (apps) for the phones. It is across the board," Sathyamurthy said. With all the updates and changes, Sathyamurthy promised partners they will get ample support to keep up.

CRM 2015 will also allow Dynamics Marketing users to collaborate with their sales teams by sharing information with each other, saving time and improving productivity, he said.

"[The Dynamics Marketing] team is growing at [a] rapid pace, it is hard to keep it up," he said. "We can't go out and release feature after feature without giving you the tools to upgrade," he said

Microsoft will also emphasize the user experience and making improvements beyond the changes in CRM 2013.
