Following departure from Microsoft Dynamics ERP R&D, Hal Howard resurfaces as Dynamic Communities Executive Director

Hal Howard, formerly the corporate vice president of R&D for Microsoft Dynamics ERP has left Microsoft. One of his new endeavors will be to serve as executive director of Dynamic Communities, the parent company of the user groups AXUG, CRMUG, GPUG, and NAVUG, as well as Dynamic Partner Connections.

Howard left Microsoft this week, according to a new interview he did with his Dynamic Communities colleague Bob McAdam and Todd McDaniel of Dynavistics on an episode of their Dynamics Podcast.

When Howard left MBS in July, he indicated his desire to remain part of the Dynamics community, though at that time he did not reveal whether or not he would stay with Microsoft.

In the Dynamics Podcast interview, Howard said he felt it was personally time for a change after twenty years at Microsoft which included ten years leading Dynamics AX R&D, and the last six years leading all Dynamics ERP R&D.

"I've been doing it for a long time, we had a capable team in place, and the path forward was obvious so felt it was time to make a break," he said.

Howard startedthe transition of his duties within Microsoft in June and completed that in August after returning from a month's vacation.
