Stampede Is Back as reIMAGINE 2014
Microsoft Dynamics GP product manager Pam Misialek says her team has at long last reimagined the event formerly known as Stampede as reIMAGINE 2014.
The event will be held from November 10-12 in Fargo, North Dakota.
After spending much time and energy looking over all the names that had been submitted, she selected reIMAGINE because Dynamics GP has a long history of reimagining what software could look like.
"Remember how moved [sic] from DOS to Btrieve/CTree and then to SQL? We reimagined the traditional client/server to the Web Client with multitenant," Misialek said. "We reimagined how we sell and market. We reimagined how to deliver BI and thought up Business Analyzer. Looking back our journey has been a wild ride."
Misialek said now with Dynamics GP 2015 and beyond in sight, Microsoft and the GP community have an opportunity to reimagine how ERP actually works, again.
"We have done it before and are on the verge to doing it again as a community," she said.
Misialek said she's working on the content for the reIMAGINE 2014 and next week she'll post a survey to get a call for content.
Tracks for the event include: Sales, Marketing, Leadership, Consultant and Developer. There will also be ISV specific content.
Within each track there will be several focus areas. Misialek shared a few of the highlights:
- New to GP: A set of sessions geared to new people. If you plan on hiring, do so before November and get those people to Fargo.
- Workshops:
