Microsoft Dynamics GP professionals are on notice: Stampede is coming back

Microsoft Dynamics GP product manager Pam Misialek is bringing back Stampede. Her announcement comes in a new blog post. The event will run November 10 to 12 and will offer sales, marketing, consulting, and developer tracks.

Stampede events were the traditional event format for the early Dynamics GP (and, earlier, the Great Plains) professional community.  For the revival, Misialek is soliciting new names as an alternative to either Stampede or Technical Airlift. As of printing this article, there is already one vote for a name: Stampede.

Dynamics GP veterans, many of whom have been with the product since before the Microsoft acquisition, often describe fond memories of their old Stampede days, and we hope to bring you some more perspective on this development.

On a more serious note, Dynamics GP is on a roll through the first half of fiscal 2014. They took a moment to brag about a notable 228 new customer adds in December 2013. A new event format that brings back the sales and marketing focus would seem to be perfectly timed to build on that momentum.

Here's the full text of Pam's announcement:

I am bringing Stampede back and combining it with Airlift.  That's right we are going to have a fall event that will have a sales/marketing track plus the consulting developer track that was airlift.  It will be like Stampede but also have the technical conference elements.

So prepare to come to Fargo in November.  November 10-12 to be exact.
