Microsoft notes 'unbelievable' Dynamics ERP SMB results in US through first half of FY2014

Microsoft added 228 Dynamics GP customer in December 2013 and has enjoyed a strong first half of fiscal year 2014 for its SMB ERP business in the US.  Officials pointed to a range of other sales numbers for the first half of the year that they say demonstrate ongoing success, a point they alluded to over the weekend.

The Dynamics ERP SMB US team is 109% ahead of plan for the first half of the fiscal year (all figures shared were US only, we are told). Customer adds are up 127% year over year, while year over year revenue growth sits at 3%. December appears to have been a particularly good month, with year over year revenue growth and customer adds both up over 100%.

The news was delivered by Microsoft's US Dynamics SMB Sales Director Howard Walovitch to Dynamics GP partners earlier this week at an product update event, part of their Dynamics GP Now and Next tour.

US performance numbers for the Dynamics ERP SMB sector put Dynamics GP at the top of the heap, with 69% of all customer adds in fiscal Q2 and 62% of ERP SMB revenue in the first half of the year.

Also interesting was Microsoft's breakdown of SMB license sales and enhancement revenue in the first half of the year.  56% of licenses sold were Dynamics GP, 34% were for NAV, and SL made up just 10%.  There were reportedly only a handful of AX licenses sold that didn't warrant a slice of the chart.
