New Microsoft Dynamics AX Solutions Excellence Certification program to refocus partner, individual competency goals

Microsoft is rolling out a new Dynamics AX Solutions Excellence Certification Program for AX with an updated mix of exams for AX professionals.  According to Orlando Escalante, Microsoft's senior manager of partner technical readiness for MBS, solution excellence certification is now intended to indicate "the highest level of certification on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012."

"The Microsoft Dynamics AX Solutions Certification program is part of our commitment to help partners differentiate their capabilities and help them deliver the best possible service to our customers," Escalante told us.

The Dynamics AX Solutions Excellence Certification Program will be offered via three distinct tracks, Escalante explained:

  • Track 1: Development in AX Certification,
  • Track 2: Technical Solutions Architecture Certification
  • Track 3: Functional Solutions Architecture Certification

The Development and Technical Solutions Architecture tracks will be available in H1 2014 and the Functional Solutions Architecture track availability will be announced at a later time.

Writing on the Goshoom.NET Dev blog, Dynamics AX pro Martin Dráb explained that there will be a series of exams required as prerequisites to each certification track. The development and technical tracks will include exams on AX 2012 development, installation and configuration, and Team Foundation Services (TFS).
