Microsoft releases Lifecycle Services v1 for Dynamics AX
Microsoft has released Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS), a new cloud-based tool set that allow customers and their partners to manage Microsoft Dynamics AX projects from pre-sales to implementation and operations.
The overall scope of LCS, beyond V1
LCS runs in Windows Azure and is designed to manage and optimize customer implementations. Based on the phase of your project and the industry vertical, the site provides checklists and tools that you can use to help you manage the project. It also provides a dashboard so that you have a single place to get up-to-date project information.
Dynamics AX product marketing manager Pepijn Richter reviewed LCS at WPC 2013 and explained that the tool is being built out with tools for every phase from pre-sales through implementation, deployment, and maintenance. He also noted that there is planned functionality that will be delivered after the V1 release.
LCS will be both a workspace for implementers and customers and a place to let Microsoft connect with the field teams. Microsoft will give access to technical support data through LCS - both open and resolved issues. Open issues have not been shared with the outside world before, WPC attendees were told.
