Microsoft Dynamics CRM December 2012 Service Update to Arrive in January for Most Customers
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Polaris release, a.k.a, the December 2012 Service Update, appears to have shifted its release date from a "mid-December" phased rollout to a start for the general customer base in January 2013.
While the release for select TAP customers has already begun, the rollout for the rest of the customer base will be starting January 1 in the US, then moving to EMEA and APAC, according to information revealed to Dynamics partners on PartnerSource, as well as at a Dynamics CRM user group meeting this week. Specifics were also shared via CRM MVP Chris Cognetta's blog.
Update Rollup 12 (UR12) for Dynamics CRM on-premise will also be delayed into January - it had been planned for December 2012 as well and is scheduled to include cross-browser compatibility.
A Microsoft representative has told us:
"The Microsoft Dynamics CRM December 2012 service update is being rolled out to customers and partners in our early access program. As we indicated last week, the roll out will continue into January for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online existing and new customers, worldwide. Our priority is to provide a great customer and partner experience with this service update."
The latest Yammer integration and the "iPad Sales experience service update," have been reset for a release after the general rollout of the service update. The iPad interface is considered one of the improvements in cross-browser compatibility.&...
