Microsoft Corp. today announced quarterly revenue of $18.06 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2012, a 7% increase from the prior year period, but also reported its previously disclosed loss per share of $.06 due to a $6 billion write down on an earlier software acquisition.

The Microsoft Business Division (MBD) revenue grew $418 million or 7% for the fourth quarter and 7% for the full year reflecting continued momentum in Office 2010 sales, the company said. Dynamics CRM revenue grew by "over 25% and added over 360,000 new users" this quarter, according to the earnings conference call.
From Microsoft earnings conference call, 7/19/2012
Business revenue increased $455 million or 9%, primarily reflecting growth in multi-year volume licensing revenue, licensing of the 2010 Microsoft Office system to transactional business customers, and a 7% increase in Microsoft Dynamics revenue.
The Microsoft Dynamics product line generates less than 10% of the revenue for MBD. Last quarter, Microsoft had quarterly revenue of $17.41 billion, which had represented a 6% increase from the prior year period.
