"Partners are pushing us to improve our performance," Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer told the 15,000 Worldwide Partner Conference 2011 attendees assembled at Staples Center in Los Angeles in today's opening keynote.

Among the Microsoft product highlights shared by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer with the 15,000 conference attendees in Los Angeles in today's opening keynote, Ballmer noted a twenty percent compound annual growth rate in the Microsoft Dynamics product line over the ten years of Microsoft's presence in the space.

"Partners are pushing us to improve our performance," he said.  And when it comes to Dynamics' performance, "we like the growth."  Ballmer described the Dynamics products as ‘very profitable' with around $1 billon in revenue and ‘multi-hundred-millions in profit'.   Business Division president Kirill Tatarinov will be presenting in more detail in a separate session later in the event.

In a continued back-and-forth with CRM competitor  Salesforce.com, Ballmer jabbed at CEO Mark Benioff for calling attention to Microsoft and for "giving us a leg up" by noting the strength of Dynamics CRM's Outlook integration.

And Ballmer re-iterated Microsoft's plans to make the next release of Dynamics NAV the first cloud-ready Dynamics ERP product early next year.  "Are we all in?" he asked the audience. "Definitely."
