Lighten the Load of EDI Customizations to Integrate with Dynamics: Jon Rivers at the Data Masons EDI Software blog shares one of his business resolutions for the New Year: "If you take the time to review your business processes, specifically those around EDI [Electronic Document Interchange] integration with Dynamics, you'll find that you can shed some unnecessary weight within your Dynamics ERP environment. This is especially the case if you're operating a stand-alone EDI solution (like a Web-form) or avoiding the issue altogether...

"By using a well architected solution that tightly integrates EDI without customization - you don't have to worry about unpredictable costs in development and updating from one Dynamics version to another.  But beware - many companies claim integration without customization but very few actually deliver... So making sure your ERP is healthy and lean, likewise your personal life, is a good idea worth evaluating, especially given the timeliness of setting new resolutions."

How to Add Multiline Fields in AX Word Document: The EMEA Dynamics AX Support blog provides the steps needed to generate Word documents that can handle multiline fields: "It's relatively easy to create a nice looking Word document out of a Sales Order in Dynamics AX by using the built in Document Management feature. The problem starts when trying to create a document with multiple order lines where some of the items have a multi line description."
