Modular ERP and Retail Management for the U.S. Tax Court

The United States Tax Court was established as a forum, independent of the Executive Branch, for resolution of disputes between U.S. taxpayers and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The Court’s mission is to provide taxpayers with a convenient and reasonable opportunity to appear before the Court.

The U.S. Tax Court is a complex operation that was struggling to find a cost-effective platform for internal finance management. The Court’s procurement process was almost entirely manual, and the payroll requirements for federal judges made accounting a complicated task.

Responsibilities like managing the high transaction volume of various revenue sources, including filing fees and taxpayer requests for case documents, strained internal resources. Outside agencies often stepped in to support the backlog of work. The Court needed a better way to effectively meet the needs of the American people.
