Tectura and Profitbase Partner on Business Intelligence Solution for Retail Clients

Tectura Corp. and Profitbase AS have a formed a partnership to deliver a business intelligence (BI) solution for retail clients.

The companies said they will offer the Profitbase Retail BI solution, which integrates with Dynamic AX, Dynamics AX for Retail, Dynamics NAV, and LS Retail.

The Profitbase Retail BI solution helps retailers improve performance by providing them with a set of metrics that enables users to track and use financials, vendor, inventory, and store performance as appropriate, the companies said.

"With this partnership Tectura and Profitbase are empowering retailers with more insight into their operations than ever before. Retailers will be able to compare the performance of stores and categories, plan more effective promotions, reduce out-of-stock occurrences and improve inventory turns and margins," said Deb Marotta, Tectura's Retail Practice Director, in a statement. Tectura, which has some 900 employees and annual revenue of about $35.7 million, provides Microsoft Dynamics ERP, CRM and technology solutions throughout the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific

Marotta said the partnership enhances its Microsoft solution offerings, enabling Tectura to help its retail clients to meet consumer demand and increase revenue.

The companies said the solution lets store managers track sales, promotions, inventory turns, out-of-stock SKUs, and margin by category, department, store clerk and more, while regional or chain sales executives can monitor top performing stores, categories and inventory. Additionally, category managers can see product lines and vendor performances, the companies said. Using a browser and role-based self-service BI interface, users can sort, filter and find detail that allows them to diagnose problems and solve them quickly, the companies said.
