TechFluent founder and Microsoft MVP Liz McGlennen joins Dynamics User Group to continue learning and development mission

Microsoft MVP Liz McGlennen, founder of TechFluent, announced she is joining the Dynamics User Group (DUG) as director of learning and development.

TechFluent, which she will still oversee, is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide mentorship and training on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform to minority and marginalized communities, then place participants in jobs with Microsoft partners.

While her new position will be with DUG, she will still remain fully engaged as executive director of TechFluent, running the tech school, McGlennen told MSDW. "Nothing with TechFluent from an organizational perspective is really changing. The only thing that is changing is that DUG is my employer and is giving me a salary to focus on running TechFluent."

McGlennen started TechFluent in 2021 to provide training, mentorship, and career services related to Microsoft Dynamics and the Power Platform. The organization’s programs also offer guidance on soft skills to help people from underserved communities land jobs working with Microsoft technologies.

"At TechFluent, we firmly believe that fostering greater diversity is not only essential for the advancement of the Microsoft business applications industry but also holds the key to fostering innovation and expanding our reach into new and untapped markets," McGlennen says.

After spending most of her career in a variety of roles for Microsoft partners that revolved around Dynamics CRM, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, and the Power Platform, McGlennen became an independent consultant in 2020.
