TechFluent enters 2026 with board transitions and continued program momentum
Career training nonprofit TechFluent Academy is moving into 2026 with changes on its board, growth in its education programs, and notable training and certification accomplishments to wrap up 2025.
TechFluent helps people from under-resourced backgrounds gain the skills they need to start or grow a career in technology, with an emphasis on Microsoft tools and roles. The program focuses on practical, in-demand skills tied to real jobs, especially those connected to Microsoft tools and platforms. Through live, instructor-led classes, certification-focused training, and mentorship, the organization works to remove barriers and make tech careers more accessible.
At the end of 2025, four members of TechFluent’s board finished their terms: Nabil Ghebre, Elif Item, Brion Reusche, and Ben Vollmer. The organization is also bringing new leaders onto its board for 2026 with a range of experience. Joining the board of directors are Chris Chambers, Sheila Shahpari, and executive director Carol Smock, each bringing a distinct set of experiences and perspectives.
