Summit EMEA Preview: How FastTrack supports Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud deployments

Agust Bjornsson leads Microsoft's EMEA FastTrack team and will be at Summit EMEA 2018 to talk about the FastTrack program and how Dynamics AX users can make the right decisions when evaluating their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365FO) upgrade or migration options.

"We will be there to have an open discussion on demystifying cloud deployments [of D365FO] and breaking assumptions," he says.

Bjornsson is a veteran of the Dynamics AX/365 community, going back to Daamgard in the pre-Microsoft days. In the years since he has held a range of roles, from running ISV and VAR organizations to independent consulting work, and his current role for nearly four years at Microsoft. Bjornsson's team is Western Europe based but covers all of EMEA.

His presence at Summit EMEA is a key component of Microsoft's effort to educate AX users on how Microsoft wants to enhance support beyond initial sales and implementation for users of the D365FO solution through the FastTrack program. With the broad goals of boosting customer satisfaction, driving use and adoption, as well as reducing time to usage, FastTrack works to deliver its value with timezone-based engineers delivering remote support.

What FastTrack entails

FastTrack has two tiers, Bjornsson explains--FastTrack and a parallel team, FastTrack Essentials. The tier used for a customer is determined by upfront license commitments (150 or more subscriptions earns a customer the full program).
